CBS Star Trek now has a whole galaxy of new email content blocks in their arsenal. The long running Star Trek empire and fandom was something I wanted to treat with extra care, knowing how much this series means to many people.
Star Trek already has a fantastic, ultra-recognizable brand, so the goal here was simply to create an email design template system to support it, and kick the new design process off with a few solid designs. The end result was a flexible, multi-functional email design system that allows Star Trek to create a nearly endless amount of designs and templates using the new content blocks. Blocks can be mixed and matched, stacked, repeated, edited and deleted as the team sees fit.
I put the new templates to the test by designing several emails, including a new welcome email, a newsletter template and password reset email.
