The idea for the Keystone Monon Community Garden was hatched in the cold in snowy winter of 2015 by two Indianapolis neighbors. Dreaming of warmer days, they imagined a shared space where all their neighbors could grow their own food, get to know each other, learn side-by-side and be proud of the beautiful, productive place they built together.
For their branding I created a simple stylized garden box illustration and paired it with an approachable, rounded sans serif typeface. The color palette is a fresh mix of greens, complementary oranges and neutrals, designed to represent the liveliness of this constantly evolving initiative.
